Stage 2 Cylinder Head
(8 Intake Ports)
LC Engineering has the best upgrades for the dual overhead cam 2RZ/3RZ engine. This Cylinder head will supply you with a better than stock head to upgrade 2RZ/3RZ performance engines. This is an excellent cylinder head choice to upgrade with our Stage 1 or 2 Camshafts. Stage 1 Camshafts will use stock sized buckets, where as a Stage 2 Camshaft set will require the use of our upgraded shim-under bucket valve train kit. This cylinder head comes assembled with a high-performance three-angle valve job, but you will still need to order your Camshaft Set as well as your shims for assembly. The head must be torqued onto the engine block to perform this step.
Cylinder Head Casting
We have seen all the import head castings the only one that is worth using is the OEM Toyota head casting. While this head casting is more than three times the amount of the imported one, this is the only one that has the quality to give years of service.
Stainless Steel Intake & Exhaust Valves
These Stainless Steel valves are stock sized exhaust valves 30.5 mm, intake valves 37.5 mm, great for ported street heads that don't need the enormous oversized valves. These stainless steel valves are lighter than the stock steel valves and have a special anti-friction coating to promote better airflow across the valve as well as reduced resistance in the guide, resulting in better valvetrain stability.
Street Valve Springs
LC Street springs offer a higher spring pressure than your stock springs. The raised spring pressure will allow your engine to rev faster and higher than with stock springs. Stock spring 35 lbs. at lift of .320" 70 lbs. LCE Street spring 50 lbs. at lift of .320" 118 lbs.
Toyota Spring Seats
As with all other areas in the valve train the area where the spring sits also takes a beating. The OE spring seats will sit under the street valve spring and will hold up to the extreme pressures and higher RPM'S found in performance engines.
Toyota Retainers
LC Engineering uses the Toyota Retainer as it fits our Street Springs perfect. There is no need for lightweight or exotic materials.
Hardened Keepers
Hardened Valve Keepers fit all 6mm valves using stock Toyota retainers.
Viton Valve Seals
Viton Valve Seals are the latest in valve seal material, surpassing Teflon! Heat resistant to 440 degrees, they eliminate oil consumption through the valve guide and provide smoother engine idling by stopping manifold air and oil leakage past the seal. They ensure a perfect seal for maximum performance and extended engine life.
Performance Porting
LC Engineering has the experience necessary to port the cylinder heads for the utmost in efficiency. The Stage 2 porting will clean up casting inconsistencies while increasing the flow characteristics of both the exhaust and intake ports. The cylinder heads will also go through a complete deburring process.
