Stage 3 Cylinder Head
(8 Intake Ports)
LC Engineering has the best upgrades for the dual overhead cam 2RZ/3RZ engine. This Cylinder head will supply you with a better than stock head to upgrade 2RZ/3RZ performance engines. This is an excellent cylinder head choice to upgrade with our Stage 1 or 2 Camshafts. Stage 1 Camshafts will use stock sized buckets, where as a Stage 2 Camshaft set will require the use of our upgraded shim-under bucket valve train kit. This cylinder head comes assembled with a high-performance three-angle valve job, but you will still need to order your Camshaft Set as well as your shims for assembly. The head must be torqued onto the engine block to perform this step.
Cylinder Head Casting
We have seen all the import head castings the only one that is worth using is the OEM Toyota head casting. While this head casting cost more than 3 times the amount of the imported one this is the only one that has the quality to give you years of service.
Stainless Steel Intake & Exhaust Valves
These Stainless Steel valves are 1mm oversized, the exhaust valves are 31.5 mm, the intake valves are 38.5 mm, great for this ported head. These stainless steel valves are lighter than the stock steel valves and have a special anti-friction coating to promote better airflow across the valve as well as reduced resistance in the guide, resulting in better valve train stability.
Pro Dual Valve Springs
The Pro Dual Valve Springs are a "must-have" upgrade when running bigger lift cams and higher RPM's. With 75lbs of seat pressure and open pressure of 215lbs (at .500" lift) they will work perfectly with any naturally aspirated or low boost application (0-20 lbs of boost). These springs are rated up to 8,000 RPM and will accommodate cam lifts up to .600"!
Dual Spring Seat
As with all other areas in the valve train the area where the spring sits also takes a beating. The spring seats will sit under the Pro Dual valve spring and will hold up to the extreme pressures and higher RPM'S found in performance engines.
Titanium Retainers
Titanium valve spring retainers will allow you to gain speed and power because LCE Titanium retainers are lighter and stronger than steel. Titanium is less than half the weight and ten times stronger than the factory steel retainer, these Titanium retainers allow you to use high lift cams without the chance of failure.
Hardened Keepers
A Set of Hardened Valve Keepers fit all 6mm valves using High-Performance retainers.
Viton Valve Seals
Viton Valve Seals are the latest in valve seal material, surpassing Teflon! Heat resistant to 440 degrees, they eliminate oil consumption through the valve guide and provide smoother engine idling by stopping manifold air and oil leakage past the seal. They ensure a perfect seal for maximum performance and long engine life.
Performance Porting
LC Engineering has the experience necessary to port the cylinder heads for the utmost inefficiency. The Stage 3 porting will clean up casting inconsistencies while increasing the flow characteristics of both the exhaust and intake ports. The cylinder heads will also go through a complete deburring process.
