3RZ (98-00) Street Long Block - 8 Intake Ports
Sometimes you don't need huge power for your application. Maybe you just want a mild upgrade to push you over that performance "hump". If that's the case then the Pro-Street series is the right choice for you. LCE starts with a seasoned block and machines it to our specifications. The block is then filled with our Street Performer series cast pistons, LCE Street Performer crank and rods. The head has some mild port work done as well as adding some oversized stainless steel valves. The valve train is topped off with custom dual springs, chromoly retainers and a stronger more reliable style cam bucket. This upgrade allows you to run a set of Series-1 cams to give you that extra power. With all the reliability of a stock Toyota engine, but the added benefit of a few extra horsepower - you just can't go wrong!

A Long Block is an automotive term describing an engine sub-assembly consisting of the following:
- Short block. The long block is always a superset of the corresponding short block.
- Cylinder head. A complete new or remanufactured cylinder head assembly is installed with a new head gasket and torqued to specification. (LCE uses only new heads and parts on late moldel Pro 22 R/RE engines) Complete cylinder heads include new or reconditioned valves, valve springs, valve guides (if applicable), valve seats (if applicable), valve locks, and valve keepers. The bare head is free from cracks, warps, or holes.
On all LCE Pro engines, the camshaft will be installed. A Long Block engine replacement will require swapping out parts from the original engine to the long block. These parts include the intake manifold, the exhaust manifold, alternator, power steering pump (if installed in the vehicle), and air conditioner compressor (if installed in the vehicle).
