Downdraft Intake Manifold - 22R (2-Barrel Weber Flange / Single Plane)
One of the most important keys to building a performance engine is to have components that all match up and are designed work together well. You can put the largest cam and carburetor on your engine but without a good flowing intake and exhaust your are just wasting money. This 22R intake manifold will work perfectly to get you the most performance possible from your engine. With a large open plenum and runners, this manifold will outflow your stocker and supply your performance engine with enough airflow to make the most horsepower possible. The single plane design of this manifold provides excellent mid range to upper RPM power without sacrificing low-end torque. This manifold is equipped with a Weber carburetor flange so you can bolt your performance carburetor on the manifold without having to use any adapters. This manifold has all the same vacuum and sensor ports as your stock manifold so you don't have to worry about adapting different fittings to gether to get all your vacuum lines and temp sensors hooked back up!
This manifold is designed to use a rubber style thermostat gasket (supplied with manifold). Application Note:
-This manifold requires an 1981 - 1983 thermostat housing. If you do not have this stye housing we can supply one for you.
-This manifold uses an 8 bolt bottom plate. If you do not have an 8 bolt plate on your manifold you will need to purchase our water plate kit.
If you have one of our cylinder heads (or plan on getting one in the future) we can port match your intake to any of our cylinder heads stages. We also provide a Race Modification for certain applications. Ask your salesperson for details on this service.
