Whether you have a basic daily driver or a high-performance race car, LC Engineering has a supercharger kit for you. The Roots Supercharger Kits feature lightweight aluminum impellers that are heat-treated and high-speed balanced to ensure smooth operation. An O-ring compressor housing seal and an innovative impeller seal improve sealing and reduce friction.
The Camden Supercharger system utilizes a roots-type supercharger developed specifically for automotive applications. The present supercharger design has evolved from the first Camden Supercharger built-in 1956. The experience gained from hundreds of installations in race cars, sports cars, passenger cars, trucks, marine, and stationary engines has been applied to periodically upgrade the design for increased reliability and improved performance.
Design features of the Camden Supercharger include extruded aluminum rotors with Teflon tip seals, pressure lubrication of rotor shaft bearing, serpentine pulleys, one-piece front extensions, and multi-ribbed rotor housing. OEM-style heat-treated cast 356 aluminum mounting brackets, a supercharger drive pulley, integrated belt tensioner, premium drive belt, stainless steel clamps, and heavy-duty mounting hardware. NOTE: Will not work with LC Engineering underdrive crankshaft pulley. Will not work with electric cooling fan. Depending on external factors; such as air temp, humidity, and elevation to name a few, boost levels will vary.
