Throttle position sensors are switches on the throttle body that keep the engine control informed of the throttle opening. The TPS is a variable resistor that changes resistance as the throttle opens wider. The computer needs this information to change the air/fuel mixture. The TPS requires a very critical adjustment procedure in order to send the proper signal to the computer for optimum performance. If your TPS needs replacing, we have the part you need!
If your vehicle is an 89, you will need to confirm you do not have the earlier style square plug. If you have any questions please call our Tech Support Line.
