Doug Thorley Headers THY-505-C 3:1 long tube headers deliver the ultimate in performance and for your 1988-1995 Toyota Pickup Truck, 4-Runner. These 3:1 long tube headers are designed to replace the factory stock exhaust manifolds with a performance component that results in a serious increase in exhaust flow over stock.

That better exhaust flow produces noticeable gains in horsepower and torque output, while increasing fuel efficiency. The headers are manufactured in the USA using heavy duty 14GA tubing, and super flat 3/8 inch head flanges. They are then silver ceramic coated inside and out, which looks great, drastically reduces under-hood temperatures, and creates a strong barrier to protect the headers from the environment.

Getting the crossover tube out works better once the manifolds are removed from the heads and the crossmember is lowered.  Nuts on crossover are a bugger!  Feed passenger side header from top side, drivers from underneath.  Use Nevercease on the EGR and AI nuts to secure the tubes.  Can't get the band clamps (not supplied with header kit) to seal and will try using Versatek 1300F caulking at the lapjoints.  Had to shorten CAT tubes to fit final collector and O2 sensor mounting flange adapter.  Header and tubing fits well with it being a bit close to the floor on passenger side. That's the only concern.  Otherwise it looks great and has taken  about 2-1/2 days for this older chap (57) to complete the change over!  Had to cut and weld flanges on CAT and replaced oil cooler seals while I was in the process of doing this modification.  Just need to seal up the band clamps and it will be finished.
