The Hypereutectic process allows for a much stronger piston that will not absorb as much heat as a cast style piston. That means you can make more power with less wear on your engine! Keith Black 22R/RE Hypereutectic Piston sets come with Total Seal rings, or they can be upgraded to our gapless ring set. Piston sets also come with wrist pins and wrist pin locks.

Piston Rings:

Classic race piston rings are built around ductile-iron, plasma-moly coated conventional top rings. They have conventional cast iron second rings and 3-piece standard-tension stainless steel oil rings. These ring sets are ideal for street use, race applications, and mild levels of nitrous or forced induction.

NOTE: These are not a gapless ring set. No returns accepted for Standard sizes, make sure your block is within spec before ordering. Due to the multiple variables possible with any engine combination, all compression ratios listed are approximate. To accurately calculate the static compression ratio of an engine, the following values must be known: Bore diameter, stroke length, rod length, deck height, combustion chamber volume, cylinder head gasket compressed thickness, and cylinder head gasket bore diameter.
