Our new ULTIMATE Lift ND Hood Strut Kit for 1st Gen (’84-89) 4Runners and ’84-88 Toyota Pickups eliminates the prop rod and makes your engine compartment free and clear of obstacles.
The “ND” (“No-Drill”) series of hood strut kits are 100% bolt-on, with no drilling required and no permanent alterations to your truck. This makes installation a breeze, and is completely reversible should you choose to remove the hood struts at a later point.
One-handed hood opening and closing – the struts lift the hood smoothly to its fully open position, and allow it to close and latch securely without slamming.
Kit comes complete with premium OEM-quality components, including two enameled gloss black hood struts, heavy gauge black powder coated brackets, all required installation hardware including our innovative “SlotLOK” nutplates for the hood, and illustrated step-by-step installation instructions.
