Coolant Temperature Sensor

This coolant temperature sensor is a stock replacement for 22RE/RTE engines. After years of use, a sensor can go bad and give false readings to the ECU, that is why we recommend replacing those sensors that have been sitting in your engine for over 20 years.

New temp sensor and double valve thermostat

    Posted by McKay1 on Sep 13th 2019

Was having the intermittent over heating issue as others on the forums have discussed. Would never get to the red, but temp gauge would creep up once every so often. New 22re long block, new transmission, new radiator, hoses etc, only 5500 miles on engine. 3 different shops, two wanting to redo head gasket, the other a new radiator and electric fan. Problem solved with this lil double valve thermostat and new temp sensor. No further issues since installing, runs cooler than ever! Thanks LCE as always!

    Exact Match

Posted by Thomas Champion on Apr 24th 2019

This sensor is the exact match for the 22re. I don’t trust the local auto parts store sensor.

Old one Kahput, broke on removal!

Posted by Kevin on Mar 28th 2016

I am glad to have purchased a new sensor. The original one crumbled on removal, I guess it's what to expect after 255,000 miles. Now it runs smooth as silk!
