Engine Rebuild Oil Galley Plug Kit

Every 20R/22R/RE/RET block and crankshaft have numerous oil port locations that need to be plugged off after cleaning. LC Engineering can supply you with all these hard to find plugs. Most engines have some sort of oil galley plug; this is where the oil passages get machined at the factory then plugged to create the oil passage. The way we clean the block and crankshaft, these plugs are removed so we can clean them thoroughly. Blocks will have the plugs installed when shipping. Crankshafts will have them removed and will be inside the box. It is essential to check that all plugs are installed when reassembling your engine. A small amount of sealant like Teflon paste is required for install do not use Teflon Tape when installing. The plugs are a metric tapered pipe plug. No torque spec, tight is recommended.

Locations and quantities listed below:

• Small Oil Galley Plug 1/8in.-28 BSPT Part #: 1013030
  Need two for the passenger side of the block.
• Medium Oil Galley Plug 1/4in.-19 BSPT Part #: 1013027
  Need four of these for the crankshaft and one for the inside of the block under the oil filter location.
• Large Oil Galley Plug 3/8in.-19 BSPT Part #: 1013024
  One goes in the front of the block, and one goes in the rear of the block.

NOTE: Always check your block and crankshaft for oil galley plugs. The absence of oil galley plugs on your block or crankshaft will result in severe engine damage.
