Manual Locking Hubs
The (89-95) models with ADD (Automatic Differential Disconnect) have created a whole new reason for installing manual hubs. These models are not equipped with locking hubs, consequently the CV joints spin whenever the vehicle is in motion. If the suspension is cranked up slightly, CV boot angle is increased and constant RPM will destroy the boots. Manual hubs will completely eliminate the highway RPM, and lower off road RPM's will not be detrimental to boots.
NOTE: If you are swapping from auto lock hubs (unless equipped with an automatic differential disconnect in years 89-95), you will also need to purchase Part #: 2053184 .
