Street Header Kit
(50 State Legal 1995 - 1999)
This is the highest quality Stainless Steel Header for your 2RZ engine. The long tube design of this header is the best for horsepower and torque. The header kit for the 2RZ are made from 1-5/8" 304 stainless steel tubing, 16 gauge .065 wall, and feature 1/2" thick flanges at the head and 3/8" thick flanges at the collector. The 2RZ header has a 2 1/4" collector to bolt to the factory catalytic converter. For the best performance this header is ceramic coated for long-lasting great looks and lower under hood temps.
NOTE: 2RZ and 3RZ header kits are 49-state legal for all years, but only CARB legal in California for 95-99 Single Catalytic Converter trucks. Direct Fit on Manual Transmissions only. Automatic Transmissions may have to modify the Transmission Fluid Dipstick in order to clear the header. Kit will include all gaskets needed for proper installation. LC Engineering 2RZ/3RZ header kits are a direct fit on single catalytic trucks only. Trucks with dual catalytic converter applications will require modification to use LC Engineering's header kit. LC Engineering does NOT recommend wrapping our headers with any sort of exhaust wrap. Doing so will increase the likelihood of a premature failure of the header, as it holds contaminants to the exhaust tubing and increases the chances of corrosion. Exhaust wraps will void any and all warranty claims.

Your LC Engineering Street Performer Header Kit is supplied with the necessary gaskets and hardware for installation. This header kit replaces the stock exhaust manifold and connector tube. It is designed to bolt directly to your factory catalytic converter. This Header Kit utilizes all factory emission and oxygen sensor equipment in stock locations and performs to OEM requirements. Follow all factory service manual recommendations for removal of stock exhaust manifold. Reverse instructions for installation of LC Header Kit.
Exhaust Studs: Torque exhaust studs to 33ft-lbs. We also offer new header mounting studs if needed (part #1045030).
NOTE: LC Engineering does not recommend the use of header wraps.

2RZ Headers for 1998 Tacoma 2WD extra cab
I ordered this Header to replace cheap cast iron after market that was leaking. Good info on web page about street legal all 50, I live in California. the Pipes arrived in three weeks, straight forward install, everything fits. Brought the old truck back to life! Well worth the money.

Looks great, my truck is in love
1st gear pulls a good bit more, 2nd has way better torque and acceleration, 3rd also very good on both ends, 4th definitely gets me up to cruising speed a bit faster, 5th also a bit improved. This header was for my ‘96, to replace my cracked stock manifold. Did a major upper engine tune up before installing- fully rebuilt cylinder head, timing chain guides/tensioner, dist. cap and rotor, plugs and wires, etc. 304,000 miles on the 2RZ. (Old cylinder head was cracked) Now along with this header she’s running like a champ, consuming hardly any oil at all, hauling 1200lbs regularly.

This had to be the easiest installation of an aftermarket part I have ever encountered. All the parts and pieces were there and fit as described. Quality is awesome too. I will order more parts for my Tacoma from you.
