Street Valve Shim

(Stock Bucket / 2.65mm)

Street valve shims are used to shim the valve lash to obtain the proper valve lash specification that is required for the appropriate camshaft grind. On 2RZ and 3RZ engines, the cam rides directly on the shim on stock buckets. Our street shims drop directly in place in the stock buckets, allowing you to adjust valve clearance properly. After doing this work for a while, you'll accumulate an assortment of shims of different thicknesses. So along with swapping shims from one lifter to another, you'll be able to reset the clearances from your parts stock.

Shim Diameter: 28mm (1.101")

OEM Toyota Part #: 13753-74070

NOTE: Sold individually. For engines using aftermarket buckets, such as our Pro shim-under buckets, you'll need our Pro shims and different retainers.

Salesman Ryan was very helpful and direct. This was my first experience with LCE and I am very pleased. The parts were first rate and worked just fine. I'll be back!

    99 Toyota 4runner stock shim 3RZ motor

Posted by Brian Harris on Mar 11th 2016

Part arrived wrong. A shim not used on the model 4runner indicated was sent in error. However, LC engineering when made aware of the issue immediately got me a shim for pickup the following day at a local Toyota dealer.
