(190 Degree / 2-Stage)
Reduced engine temperatures add life to your engine in either Racing, Off-road or street applications and provide a denser air/fuel mixture which helps produce more horsepower. Consistent control of engine temperature allows an engine to operate at its peak efficiency, no matter what the driving conditions. The factory 195° thermostat simply cycles open and closed, this reduces cooling efficiency in any engine. With the 190° thermostat you get consistent engine cooling and precise metering of water throughout the engine. This thermostat has two valves in it, one closes at the regular temperature and the smaller closes at a cooler temperature. If the cool water shuts the big one, the smaller one will stay open letting coolant into the cooling system.

NOTE: Thermostats do not come with gaskets, use the rubber round gasket, see Part #: 1032074.

This thermostat works exactly as it says
If you have the temperature spike sometimes on your 22re this one is a must . I used to see my temp gauge get higher then i was comfortable seeing while i was driven at speed or idle , not completely overheating but too close and this thermostat solved that problem and it runs perfectly cool , temp gauge will say bout 1/3

Thermostat 2 stage
This 2 stage thermostat solved my overheating problem. I replaced everything on my cooling system and had an overheating problem, I bought a 2nd single stage thermostat that Napa called for and still overheated. I read and bought the 2 stage unit and it instantly fixed the problem, no more overheating. Thanks LCE.
