Valve Shim

Street valve shims are used to shim the valve lash to obtain the proper valve lash specification that is required for the appropriate camshaft grind. On 3VZ engines, the cam rides directly on the shim on stock buckets. Our street shims drop directly in place in the stock buckets, allowing you to adjust valve clearance properly. After doing this work for a while, you'll accumulate an assortment of shims of different thicknesses. So along with swapping shims from one lifter to another, you'll be able to reset the clearances from your parts stock.
