Intake Manifold Stud Kit

(Carbureted)

This kit comes with all new studs to mount your carbureted manifold to your cylinder head. Replacing your stock intake bolts with studs will allow you to remove and reinstall your manifold numerous times without having to worry about damaging the threads in your cylinder head. It will all make it easier to install the manifold since you can install the studs first and let the manifold rest on the studs while you install the nuts. This is a lot easier than holding the manifold while trying to install a bolt at the same time.

NOTE: Studs should be bottomed out in the head, nuts will torque to 14ft lbs.

Product is quality. It would be nice if LCE offered a Intake Manifold stud and gasket kit.

Intake Stud Kit 22R/20R - Carb.

Yes, replace the old factory studs. I'm using mine just to clean up and replace the intake gaskets for preventative maintenance.

Good product but you need to order two to have enough for the fuel pump and egr valve.

    Weak Nuts

Posted by Jesse Sparks on Aug 17th 2015

The studs themselves were good, but when I tried to use the two-nut method to extract the old stud, the threads in the nuts that come with the kid where sheared off. Ended up scrounging around looking for a couple spare nuts to put on after the new studs were in place. Would recommend strengthening those a little bit.

Top notch parts are always delivered. Although shipping costs are pretty steep in my opinion
