Tacoma Street Header Kit
(50 State Legal 1995 - 1999)
This high-quality header is a long tube design to get the most horsepower for your Tacoma. There are other headers on the market but none will come close to the LC Engineering long tube in terms of horsepower and torque gains. This header kit will come with new OE the gaskets needed for install.
All the same quality components used in our 22R line are now available for your 2RZ or 3RZ engine. Our header kits for the 3RZ are made from 1-5/8" 304 stainless steel tubing, 16 gauge .065 wall, and feature 1/2" thick flanges at the head and 3/8" thick flanges at the collector. 3RZ header has a 2 1/2" collector to bolt to the factory catalytic converter. For the best performance, our headers are ceramic coated for long-lasting great looks and lower underhood temps. Kits include all gaskets needed for proper installation. LC Engineering 2RZ/3RZ header kits are a direct fit on single catalytic trucks only. Trucks with dual catalytic converter applications will require modification to use LC Engineering's header kit.
NOTE: Not a direct fit for vehicles with dual catalytic converters. 2RZ and 3RZ header kits are 49-state legal for all years, but CARB legal in California only for 1995-1999 Single Catalytic Converter trucks. LC Engineering does NOT recommend wrapping our headers with any sort of exhaust wrap. Doing so will increase the likelihood of a premature failure of the header, as it holds contaminants to the exhaust tubing and increases the chances of corrosion. Exhaust wraps will void any and all warranty claims.

Your LC Engineering Street Performer Header Kit is supplied with the necessary gaskets and hardware for installation. This header kit replaces the stock exhaust manifold and connector tube. It is designed to bolt directly to your factory catalytic converter. This Header Kit utilizes all factory emission and oxygen sensor equipment in stock locations and performs to OEM requirements. Follow all factory service manual recommendations for removal of stock exhaust manifold. Reverse instructions for installation of LC Header Kit.
Exhaust Studs: Torque exhaust studs to 33ft-lbs. We also offer new header mounting studs if needed (part #1045030).
NOTE: LC Engineering does not recommend the use of header wraps.

3rz header from LCE
Super easy install! Everything bolted up and fit perfectly. LCE was very good with updates on shipping. For a large company they definitely had a small company feel in the way they want to take care of their customers and provide top notch quality parts.

Great header!
I put this on a 2003 3rz 4x4 Tacoma, I had to do some exhaust work but used this to delete my cats and get a much better sound. Now with the high flow muffler I have it sounds like a small Japanese motor as you would expect. But this actually increased my mpg by 2, and I gained somewhere around 4 hp (paired with my cold air intake). If you want a little more grunt in the high rpm’s, and a little better sound that’s not so raspy from the cats, this is for you! Super easy to install this was my first header and I got it done in an hour and a half after presoaking the studs in pb blaster. Only issue I had was the bottom front most stud I wasn’t able to get a torque wrench on so I had to wing it but a standard 1/2 in drive with a deep socket will get you every other bolt just fine.

Best header available for stock or built engines.
I have been buying headers for Toyota trucks for over three decades and these are killer especially for the price. Very well made. Nice and thick where it counts. I installed these on a 2000 along with the LCE exhaust and to say it made the truck much more fun to drive is a serious understatement. I did run these headers for a few weeks before I installed the LCE cat-back and I did notice that on local hills I didn't need to grab for 3rd on a few since the headers provided a nice little bump it torque. Once I installed the LCE cat-back exhaust everything really opened up. So much more responsive, sounds killer when ya want, but otherwise its mellow. Best choice out there IMO when your stock cast iron lump cracks. And for sure its cracked already...,

Perfect fitting header
I was having exhaust leaks with stock manifold so I purchased a header and stud kit, and was very impressed with the ease of installation and the quiet sounding exhaust! I noticed an increase in power thru out the bottom , mid , and top of my power ! The coating of the header is an added bonus. I am very pleased.
