Mechanical Fuel Pump
The fuel pump is a very important part of your vehicle. If you do not have the proper fuel pressure or volume you can starve the engine and cause major engine damage. The best way to cure this problem is to replace that worn-out fuel pump with a new one. LC Engineering can provide you with a fuel pump for your carbureted 22R engine. This is a direct replacement mechanical pump that will bolt to the cylinder head.
If your engine already has a mechanical fuel pump installed, you will already have this spacer installed. If you are not sure if you have this spacer, check between the fuel pump and the cylinder head. It will be a spacer roughly 1/4" thick. If you are converting a formerly-fuel injected vehicle to carburetion, you will need to purchase a fuel pump drive spacer, see Part #: 1035052.
NOTE: Comes with (2) gaskets but no spacer, which is sold separately on our store (link above). Failure to use the fuel pump spacer will result in fuel pump failure!

Quality Fuel pump!
Ordered a new Fuel Pump for my '81 truck. Very well made product and went on very easily as it should. I have never had an issue with any parts from LC Engineering!

1987 22r mechanical fuel pump
Received quickly, and made my truck fire right up. Made in Japan, and it’s 100x better than the old Napa part that was on there(I didn’t put that one on).

Saved the day
Long story, short version , I purchased the fuel pump for myself didn’t have time to install before a major class 5 4x4 event so it went in my parts box. My buddy was in the middle of a difficult section of the trail and his rig wouldn’t start . We checked all possibilities even the fuel pump that was less than three years old. After installing the LCP fuel pump that 22R fired right up and never ran better . I’m ordering two more after this event, Great product !

Mechanical Fuel Pump for 1985 Toyota
When you try the rest buy the best from LC Engeneering. Man I went through 2 auto parts house fuel pumps in my 85 4x4 pickup after installing a new motor. NO FUEL at the carb, replaced ALL THE FUEL LINES...still no fuel. Dropped the fuel tank thinking the pickup tube screen was full of junk!! NOPE, clean as a whistle. The fuel filter is brand new. So there was nothing left to buy another "NEW" fuel pump. Went to my account and logged on, went to fuel section and clicked on fuel pumps. Read the reviews and most of them mirrored what I had done. LC said if you want fuel you buy our pump. I did and BA-BOOM, the third crank around my Webber carb ( from LC Engineering) fired up and my new motor was running SMOOTH!! Thanks LC Engineering for a Japanese pump that works on a Japanese Motor!! If I would of gone to you guys first it would if saved me a month of time and frustration!! THANKS LC Engineering!!
