Teflon Heat Isolation Gasket - 5VZ Throttle Body

This Teflon gasket is super easy to install and helps get more air into your engine. I haven’t done any proper testing, but it seems to be particularly effective when paired with a cold air intake. One thing to note: Using a catch can with this gasket, or at least replacing your PCV valve every other oil change or so, seems like a good idea. The D shape of the OEM gasket prevents any oil or gasoline vented from the PCV system from running back into your throttle body. There shouldn’t be THAT much oil or gasoline, if you use good oil, change it regularly, and follow the recommended change interval for your PCV valve. A catch can won’t hurt anything, though, and it might help keep your top end cleaner. That’s a bit of a tangent, though. The gasket itself is a well-made upgrade for your air system.

Good product if you want something a bit more robust than the paper gasket. It is quite a bit thicker than either the paper or the metal gasket, so you may have to adjust your throttle cables a bit.

I bought this because I just installed the trd black sc and had used the stock d shaped gasket. I gave it though as to use either this or the factory gasket and figured I'd give this a go for only a few bucks more.
