Chevy Transmission Adapter Plate Kit
LC Engineering's custom transmission adapter kit is designed to mate a Toyota 20R/22R/RE/RET Tacoma engine to any GM Turbo-Hydromatic (350 or 400), 700R or Powerglide transmission bell housing. Perfect for the racer that wants the easy-to-find GM transmission in their race truck and wants the power and reliability of their Toyota engine. This adapter plate includes all hardware needed for installation of the adapter plate to the block as well as the transmission bell housing to the adapter plate. This conversion will require a custom torque converter to bolt to the stock Toyota flexplate or a custom flexplate with the converter bolt pattern. It is designed to have the engine and transmission vertical, not on an angle. This transmission adapter plate is approx. 3/8" thick.
NOTE: Does not work with Manual Transmissions. Flexplate for this adapter, see Part #: 1052028.

Question: Do I use a Toyota or Chevy starter with these adapters?
Answer: You will use a Toyota starter with our adapter plates.

Installation:
When running an automatic transmission with LC Engineering's adapter plate you will need to have a custom torque converter made to bolt to the flexplate. Please make sure that the new torque converter is supported properly into the rear of the crank to properly support the weight.
