• Belt Compatibility: Because this high-output unit utilizes a smaller diameter pulley, you may require a shorter serpentine belt. We strongly recommend installing a fresh correctly sized belt during installation.
• Amperage Matching: Ensure this alternator is rated at least 30 Amps above your vehicle's maximum total electrical load.

Warranty Exclusions

To protect your investment, avoid the following common installation and operational errors, which void the warranty.

• Belt & Pulley Mishaps: Bearing failure from over-tightened or loose belts. (Alternators returned for warranty must include the pulley. Signs of extreme heat-blueing on the shaft/pulley or a mirror-shiny pulley finish-will void coverage.
• Terminal Damage: Stripped threads, burnt terminals, or discoloration on the output (B+) or ground (B-) posts caused by loose connections.
• Mechanical Damage: Damaged rotor shaft threads, cracked housings from loose mounting hardware, or broken brush holders from attempting to re-clock the unit.
• Electrical Overload & Faults: Reversing battery polarity during installation. 
• Burnt Stator phases or blown/damaged diodes.
• Running the engine with the battery disconnected or removing a battery cable while running.
• Improper wire sizing or incorrect wiring hookups.
• Use in-non recommended or competition environments.
