The second-generation Toyota 4Runner (1990–1995) shares its powertrain era with the 5th gen Toyota Pickup. Both platforms ran the 22RE 2.4-liter fuel-injected four-cylinder and the 3VZE 3.0-liter V6. The 2nd gen 4Runner was a body redesign — the first 4Runner sold exclusively as a 4-door SUV in the U.S. market — but mechanically it carries forward the engine and drivetrain architecture LCE has built around since the 1st gen.
LC Engineering's 22RE and 3VZE catalogs apply directly to the 2nd gen 4Runner. For 22RE builds we offer complete long blocks, the LCE Stroker, Stage 2 through Stage 5 camshafts, header kits, supercharger and turbo kits, master rebuild kits, and OEM-spec replacement components. For 3VZE V6 builds we offer long blocks, rebuild kits, and supporting components. Suspension and chassis parts span both off-road and street builds, and the OEM-replacement catalog covers the maintenance items that keep these trucks running well past their original design life.
