The fifth-generation Toyota Pickup (1989–1995) is the last "mini-truck" generation Toyota built for the U.S. market before the 1995.5 Tacoma transition. It is also the largest active-driver platform in the Toyota Pickup lineup — many of these trucks are still on the road as daily drivers, and the 22RE four-cylinder engine that powered most of them has earned its reputation as one of the most reliable production four-cylinders ever built. The 3.0-liter 3VZE V6 was offered as an upgrade engine from 1988 forward, giving 5th-gen owners a V6 option for the first time.

LC Engineering supports 5th-gen Pickup owners with performance and replacement parts across both engine families. For 22RE trucks, our catalog covers long blocks, the LCE Stroker (2.7-liter displacement increase), Stage 2 through Stage 5 camshafts, supercharger and turbo kits, header kits, master rebuild kits, and OEM-spec replacement components. For 3VZE V6 trucks, we offer long blocks, rebuild kits, and the supporting components that keep the V6 platform running.
