Spiral Adapter
(Weber to 22R Stock Manifold)
LC Engineering's spiral adapter will adapt your Weber carburetor to any stock 22R intake manifold. This adapter will replace the standard Weber adapter that never wants to seal up properly. The unique dyno-proven spiral bore of the LC Engineering adapter causes the incoming air-charge to spin as it passes through the body. This beneficial air charge carries all the way into the combustion chamber which produces a super atomized mixture, which produces gains in mid-range power and overall efficiency. LC Engineering's in-house dyno showed gains of 5 horsepower and 6 Ft-Lbs. of torque! All adapter kits are manufactured from aircraft quality billet 6061-T6 aluminum. CNC-Machined to provide a better gasket seal and less vacuum leaks than the cheap Weber adapter. Each kit comes with all the necessary gaskets, hardware, and precision brackets to maintain proper throttle and cruise control geometry. Kits can be installed in less than one hour, with no drilling or cutting required.

Installation:
- Disconnecting battery and set the emergency brake.
- Remove air cleaner assembly.
- Remove carburetor and clean gasket surfaces. Do not allow debris to enter the intake plenum! Insert a shop rag, or towel to keep debris from falling into the intake.Be sure to remove rag before installing adapter!
- Install base gasket(#1) and adapter base(#2) to manifold using the hardware provided. Notice in the illustration the orientation of the base plate: the large hole is closest to the cylinder head, allenhead bolts go closest to the head on top, two hex bolts with wave washers thread in from the bottom. Use a small amount of thread locking compound to prevent studs from backing out.
- Install the top plate(#4) and gasket(#3) using the (4) 6mmallen bolts provided.
- Install the four 8mm double-end studs into the top plate. Use a small amount of thread locking compound on the studs.
- Remove throttle cable bell crank assembly (2 bolts)
- Using the spacers provided with the 8mm bolts and flat washers, reinstall the Throttle Cable bell crank assembly. This relocates the height to match the carburetor adapter.
- Install the carburetor with the new gasket (#5) provided with the flat washers and nylock nuts.
- Reconnect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and linkages that may have been removed.
- Install air cleaner.
- Reconnect battery, start the engine, check for fuel and vacuum leaks.

Not only does this adapter look amazing, but it fits with NO LEAKS!!! Shipping as always was fast and smooth. Right parts and instructions came with it for those who can’t figure it out. Good stuff. Once I finish the rebuild I’ll update on how well she works.

WOW! Fantastic product!!
Brian was very helpful! I got rid of my Weber plates in preference of the LCE spiral Adapter and am VERY pleased. Most yota forums said the Weber plates that came with my Weber 38/38 Carb were almost guaranteed to leak. Why in the world wouldn't I spend the extra $80 and greatly reduce the chances of leakage!? No brainer, people - if you have a Weber carb, put this adapter on it and dump the weak Weber plates that come with the carb - just saying!

15+ years been dealing with poor idling, but not any more. The Spiral Adapter is a very smart, precise, high quality engineered design produced by LCE. Engine starts up every time, smooths idle, gas mileage increase for me. Overall engine performance/HP also feels better. Very good machine work. Very happy with this adapter kit :)
