Spiral Adapter
(Weber to 22R Stock Manifold)
LC Engineering's spiral adapter will adapt your Weber carburetor to any stock 22R intake manifold. This adapter will replace the standard Weber adapter that never wants to seal up properly. The unique dyno-proven spiral bore of the LC Engineering adapter causes the incoming air-charge to spin as it passes through the body. This beneficial air charge carries all the way into the combustion chamber which produces a super atomized mixture, which produces gains in mid-range power and overall efficiency. LC Engineering's in-house dyno showed gains of 5 horsepower and 6 Ft-Lbs. of torque! All adapter kits are manufactured from aircraft quality billet 6061-T6 aluminum. CNC-Machined to provide a better gasket seal and less vacuum leaks than the cheap Weber adapter. Each kit comes with all the necessary gaskets, hardware, and precision brackets to maintain proper throttle and cruise control geometry. Kits can be installed in less than one hour, with no drilling or cutting required.

Installation:
- Disconnecting battery and set the emergency brake.
- Remove air cleaner assembly.
- Remove carburetor and clean gasket surfaces. Do not allow debris to enter the intake plenum! Insert a shop rag, or towel to keep debris from falling into the intake.Be sure to remove rag before installing adapter!
- Install base gasket(#1) and adapter base(#2) to manifold using the hardware provided. Notice in the illustration the orientation of the base plate: the large hole is closest to the cylinder head, allenhead bolts go closest to the head on top, two hex bolts with wave washers thread in from the bottom. Use a small amount of thread locking compound to prevent studs from backing out.
- Install the top plate(#4) and gasket(#3) using the (4) 6mmallen bolts provided.
- Install the four 8mm double-end studs into the top plate. Use a small amount of thread locking compound on the studs.
- Remove throttle cable bell crank assembly (2 bolts)
- Using the spacers provided with the 8mm bolts and flat washers, reinstall the Throttle Cable bell crank assembly. This relocates the height to match the carburetor adapter.
- Install the carburetor with the new gasket (#5) provided with the flat washers and nylock nuts.
- Reconnect all vacuum lines, fuel lines, and linkages that may have been removed.
- Install air cleaner.
- Reconnect battery, start the engine, check for fuel and vacuum leaks.

Weber to 22R Stock Manifold LC Spiral Adapter
Having fiddled with my mixture screw nonstop to no satisfaction prior to installation, I consider the LC adapter necessary vs. weber adapters when running a stock manifold with planum divider in the way of airflow. Beautiful piece of work, very easy to install, immediately noticeable results. A++

Spiral Adapter - Weber to 22R Manifold
Great product. Easy to install. But, had to reinstall because of whining sound from spiral adapter. Found out that I had to tighten bolts. After doing this- no whining sounds. Gives off more power and torque. This 1985 Toyota 22R 4x4 is a joy to drive. Thanks, Earl

Don't mess with the weber adapter plate set. It's JUNK! This spiral Adapter kit is all you need for Weber 38 to Stock 22R intake. It's beautifully machined, precise fitting, and DOES NOT LEAK. Set redline next to this and you'll instantly understand. There is no comparison. This is a GREAT adapter plate setup. I'd highly recommend it. Loving mine!

weber carb adaptor
I called looking for an adaptor & was told about a better one for little more money. It is install & fits great. We haven't started it yet but i'm sur it will be a great part for my grandson rock crawler project.

Cured Vaccum leak
This thing is works Great it cured my vaccum leak. It runs way better than before. The redline adapter that came with the Weber kit leaked even when i used Permetex on all the gaskets. It definitly has more power, I can now go up the hill by my house in third gear with ease.
