Pro Flow Exhaust System

LC Engineering’s Pro Flow Exhaust Systems are made with 409 stainless steel tubing, a 409 stainless steel straight-through Street Max muffler and 3/8" thick mild steel flanges. The straight-through design of the Street Max muffler delivers a deep performance tone without the excessive interior drone or high-pitched external sound frequencies (rasp) while providing optimal flow for improved horsepower & torque. They are then ceramic coated for long-lasting good looks and protection from the elements. LC Engineering designs our kits to be a direct fit application that requires little or no modifications and uses factory exhaust hanger locations. This bolts up behind your factory catalytic converter or one of our high flow performance catalytic converters. This exhaust system features 2 1/4" tubing with a 3" polished stainless tip. Every kit is shipped complete with all the instructions and hardware you will need for a quick and easy installation process.

Features:

  • Straight-Through Design
  • 409-Grade 16 -Gauge Stainless Steel Construction
  • Delivers A Deep Performance Tone
  • High-Heat Thermal Mesh
  • Improved Horsepower & Torque
  • Effective Drone Reduction
  • 3 Year Limited Warranty (Muffler)

NOTE: LC Engineering does NOT recommend wrapping our headers with any sort of exhaust wrap. Doing so will increase the likelihood of a premature failure of the header, as it holds contaminants to the exhaust tubing and increases the chances of corrosion. Exhaust wraps will void any and all warranty claims. Will not fit 4 Runners, no company makes a cat back system for 1st Gen 4 Runners. You will need to have any exhaust shop build something directly to the vehicle.

LC Engineering has designed our Pro Flow Exhaust to fit any 1985-1995 22R/RE or 3VZ truck. It comes with a front pipe that is designed to be trimmed to the correct length for your cab/bed length. Please read and follow the directions completely to ensure proper fitment.

NOTE:
Will Not Fit Any 4Runner.

Installation:

    1. Remove the stock exhaust system from the catalytic converter on back. Be carefully not to damage the hangers or brackets.

    2. Install the "˜S' pipe into the muffler and place the muffler in the stock hangers. Install the clamp snug, do not tighten firmly.

    3. Attach the tailpipe section using a 2-bolt flange gasket. Bolt to the muffler and attach rear hanger. Do not tighten yet.

    4. Check alignment and location of muffler and tailpipe. Hangers may require a slight adjustment for proper alignment.

    5. The front pipe section may need to be cut to length. Be sure to allow enough overlap for adequate clamping area. Install the front pipe section using a 2-bolt flange gaskets. If you have to cut the front section of pipe, make sure it's cut clean (no burs) and cut straight.

    6. Check the clearance of your Pro Flow Exhaust System to the floor pan, chassis components, parking brake cable assembly, driveshaft, etc. Adjust system as needed.

    7. Starting at the muffler, tighten bolts working towards the front and back, then firmly tighten the 2 ¼" exhaust clamps.

    8. Start engine and check for exhaust leaks. Tighten flanges and clamps evenly as needed.

NOTE:
This system is designed to fit all cab and bed configurations. FRONT PIPE SECTION WILL HAVE TO BE CUT to correct length shorter applications. LC Engineering recommends using O2 safe, high-temperature silicon on slip connections for small exhaust leaks.

    Solid Setup

Posted by Justin Hempsey on Aug 1st 2017

Exhaust setup sounds great. I have this paired with an LCE Header. Nice and quiet at idle but then it really opens up when I get on it. Pretty mellow tone when cruising too, I don't find it intrusive at all in the cab. The noise is pretty solid too, it doesn't sound like a V8 but it sure sounds bigger than a 4 banger, and not at all like the cans on a Honda. Painless install as well. Super happy with it overall.

As usual great quality from LCE. Since it went on my crawler I just made a few modifications to get it to fit. On a stock truck would be piece of cake!

    Purrin'

Posted by McLain Degenhart on Dec 16th 2016

Took the pro flow exhaust and the LCE street headers to my local Muff shop and had them help slap it together for me. Purrs nice and clean, doesn't sound ridiculous like the Honda fan boys with the fart cannons.

It may be a little lot for the logging roads and game trails, but I'm having fun with it now. Note: I did cut out the cat so I'm sure that helps the volume.
