(190 Degree / 2-Stage)
Reduced engine temperatures add life to your engine in either Racing, Off-road or street applications and provide a denser air/fuel mixture which helps produce more horsepower. Consistent control of engine temperature allows an engine to operate at its peak efficiency, no matter what the driving conditions. The factory 195° thermostat simply cycles open and closed, this reduces cooling efficiency in any engine. With the 190° thermostat you get consistent engine cooling and precise metering of water throughout the engine. This thermostat has two valves in it, one closes at the regular temperature and the smaller closes at a cooler temperature. If the cool water shuts the big one, the smaller one will stay open letting coolant into the cooling system.

NOTE: Thermostats do not come with gaskets, use the rubber round gasket, see Part #: 1032074.

Great product
Product works as advertised. My heater is hotter and truck warms up a lot better. Would pay the extra over the single phase any day. Two thumbs up here.

2-stage Thermostat for 22RE
This was the best prices 2 stage Thermostat I found on the market. This helped with my intermittent overheating issue. I would recommend this for anyone with a 22RE. Thanks L C Engineering.

22re thermostat sticking
I had a problem with my thermostat sticking in my 22re 1985 toyota 4runner. After trying drilling holes and everything in just a normal thermostat I went for this one and it took care of the problem!!! No more going up to the red before it finally goes down.
