Pro Race Header Kit

LC Engineering has been making race headers for over 20 years; so when we say that this is the best header on the market, we know what we are talking about! With countless hours of dyno and real-world testing, these headers have proven themselves time and time again! The long tube design of these header creates loads of torque while the large 1 5/8" primaries provide maximum flow for high RPM horsepower. These Pro Headers can be run wide open or you can use the flange we supply in the kit to fabricate a free-flowing exhaust behind it. Make sure you check out our mufflers and exhaust tubing to complete your exhaust. We would not recommend this header for daily drivers. It's intended use is high rpm race applications only.
- Tubing: These 1 5/8" header tubes are mandrel-bent from 16 gauge, 304 stainless steel tubing. The mandrel bending ensures optimal flow by eliminating any kinks or restrictions in the header tubing.
- Merge Collector: The new style merge collector has been re-designed to provide a fully weldable surface while still providing excellent flow and transition to your header outlet.
- Flanges: LC Engineering makes all our header flanges in house to provide the best "fit & finish" possible. The head flange is CNC cut from 1/2" thick mild steel and re-surfaced after the header tubes are welded in place to make sure the head mating surface is perfectly flat. The header tubes are welded into the head flange on the inside and outside, this is a feature that is normally only used in custom made race headers! The collector flange is 3/8" thick with a 2 1/4" opening. Both flanges are designed to use factory style gaskets (the collector flange is larger than stock) so you don't have to hunt down custom exhaust gaskets whenever you remove your header.
- Extras: The header kit also includes new header and collector gaskets, collector hardware and an extra 2-bolt flange to bolt your new header to your custom exhaust.
NOTE: We cannot quote fitment to any chassis before 1982. Due to the intended race use, the pro header kits do not include a connector pipe to connect to the factory exhaust. For off-road use only. Not legal for use on emissions controlled vehicles. Pro Headers do not have any provisions for the stock air injection tubes or oxygen sensors. This header fits all 1982 to 1995 4wd pickups and 4Runners. For 2wd pickups, see Part #: 1041021. Still, don't see your application? NOTE: Due to many fitment differences, we cannot quote fitment to any RV. These were a custom vehicle and not a standard dealership vehicle. We do have a Test Fit Header that we can ship to you with a return label for $60. This will be the only way to confirm fitment to anything considered an RV. LC Engineering does NOT recommend wrapping our headers with any sort of exhaust wrap. Doing so will increase the likelihood of a premature failure of the header, as it holds contaminants to the exhaust tubing and increases the chances of corrosion. Exhaust wraps will void any and all warranty claims.
