The Toyota FJ Cruiser (2007–2014) is one of Toyota's most distinctive modern SUVs — a single-generation, heritage-inspired off-road vehicle that pulled its styling from the FJ40 Land Cruiser of the 1960s and 70s while sharing its underlying platform with the 4th gen 4Runner. It was sold in the U.S. for eight model years and discontinued after 2014, but the FJ Cruiser community has only grown in the decade since. These trucks are some of the most-built off-road and overland platforms in the Toyota world today — and as the supply of used FJ Cruisers tightens, parts demand and build investment per vehicle keep climbing.

The off-road and overland build profile is what defines the FJ Cruiser aftermarket. Lift kits, leveling kits, and long-travel suspension to handle technical trails and overland loads. Bumpers, sliders, skid plates, and drivetrain protection to take the trail damage that comes with hard use. Lighting and recovery setups for the build profile this community actually runs. LC Engineering supports these builds with selective product today and is actively expanding our off-road and overland catalog — this platform is one of the focal points for that direction.

On the engine side, every FJ Cruiser ran the 1GR-FE 4.0-liter V6 — Toyota's volume V6 of the era, shared with the 4th and 5th gen 4Runner, the 2nd gen Tacoma, and the 2nd gen Tundra. That cross-platform sharing means LCE's 1GR-FE engine performance catalog applies directly to the FJ Cruiser. Supercharger kits, header kits, exhaust components, throttle bodies, intake systems, and the OEM-spec engine maintenance components are all available off the shelf for builders who want the engine side of the build buttoned up alongside the off-road components.

If you are building an FJ Cruiser — full overland rig, technical trail build, or a daily driver with off-road duty — our technical team can scope what fits your specific direction. Tech line: (928) 505-2501. Email: support@lcengineering.com.
