Flex Fan

(w/ Billet Spacer Kit)

Flex-a-lite high performance flex fans are designed to give you maximum airflow at low RPM, and the least amount of engine loading at high RPM. Less resistance at highway speeds equals more horsepower and better gas mileage. Flex fans pull additional air through the radiator at low RPM when the speed of the vehicle isn't enough to cool the engine's coolant system. At higher RPM, when the vehicle's speed forces ample air through the radiator, the fan blades flatten out, resulting in less power being used to spin the fan.




NOTE: By design, Flex Fans are noisier compared to a stock fan. Noise will not be a valid reason for the return of this item.

Kit Includes:

  • (1) Billet Fan Spacer
  • (4) M8-1.25 x 16mm Hex Bolts
  • (4) M8 Flat Washers
  • (4) M6-1.00 x 25mm Hex Bolts
  • (4) M6 Flat Washers

Installation:

  1. Loosen bolts that hold the fan to the water pump. Do not remove them just loosen them while the belt is still on to make removal easier.

  2. Remove water pump belt and then remove the fan assembly from water pump. You can also remove the fan shroud for extra room but this is not necessary.

  3. Remove stock fan studs in water pump and chase hub threads with a tap.

  4. Install the flex fan on the fan spacer using M8 Hex Bolts and M8 flat washers. Use a mild thread locking compound on bolts.

  5. Install hub and fan assembly on the water pump flange using the M6 hex bolts and M6 flat washers.

  6. Rotate engine by hand, checking for fan clearance before starting engine.

    Very high quality pieces. The spacer is made with very tight tolerances and installs onto the factory water pump nicely. The hardest part of the install was lining the water pump pulley bolt holes back up. The fan is slightly louder than the stock fan at idle and certainly seems to flow more air.

    Thanks you guys !!! 20R/22R/RE Flex Fan With Billet Spacer Kit is a perfect fit and works GREAT !! Electric fans are a pain in the butt ,flex fan pulls tons of air at slow speed when you really need it ,this set up sucks leaves off my driveway. Seriously I'm really happy with this !!! Thanks LCE (again)

    Fan looks and works great! Not loud at all, fairly easy to install, the only reson I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the metal blades were really sharp on the ends where they were cut,
