Street Header Kit
(50 State Legal 1995 - 1999)
This is the highest quality Stainless Steel Header for your 2RZ engine. The long tube design of this header is the best for horsepower and torque. The header kit for the 2RZ are made from 1-5/8" 304 stainless steel tubing, 16 gauge .065 wall, and feature 1/2" thick flanges at the head and 3/8" thick flanges at the collector. The 2RZ header has a 2 1/4" collector to bolt to the factory catalytic converter. For the best performance this header is ceramic coated for long-lasting great looks and lower under hood temps.
NOTE: 2RZ and 3RZ header kits are 49-state legal for all years, but only CARB legal in California for 95-99 Single Catalytic Converter trucks. Direct Fit on Manual Transmissions only. Automatic Transmissions may have to modify the Transmission Fluid Dipstick in order to clear the header. Kit will include all gaskets needed for proper installation. LC Engineering 2RZ/3RZ header kits are a direct fit on single catalytic trucks only. Trucks with dual catalytic converter applications will require modification to use LC Engineering's header kit. LC Engineering does NOT recommend wrapping our headers with any sort of exhaust wrap. Doing so will increase the likelihood of a premature failure of the header, as it holds contaminants to the exhaust tubing and increases the chances of corrosion. Exhaust wraps will void any and all warranty claims.

Your LC Engineering Street Performer Header Kit is supplied with the necessary gaskets and hardware for installation. This header kit replaces the stock exhaust manifold and connector tube. It is designed to bolt directly to your factory catalytic converter. This Header Kit utilizes all factory emission and oxygen sensor equipment in stock locations and performs to OEM requirements. Follow all factory service manual recommendations for removal of stock exhaust manifold. Reverse instructions for installation of LC Header Kit.
Exhaust Studs: Torque exhaust studs to 33ft-lbs. We also offer new header mounting studs if needed (part #1045030).
NOTE: LC Engineering does not recommend the use of header wraps.

Couldn’t be happier with this header, was expecting a small hp gain but was really pleased at how much better and smoother the engine feels under acceleration. The headers are exactly as described, beautifully made and fits like an OEM piece. I cheaped out and bought a manifold online that claimed it was machined flat but still leaked, was advised that taco manifolds are hard to seat so did some research and bought this , you get what you pay for and I’m well pleased with this header.

Good header! 98 2rz tacoma
If you buy another header for your 2rz Tacoma you might be disapointed but not with LCE. Others are cheaper for a reason. The LCE header is best because delivers everywhere. The looks, fitment, durability and response it gives is amazing. It comes complete with everything to install and it takes longer to remove the stock junk than to install cause the header cant fit any better. I noticed a big difference behind the wheel and the way the engine runs, and my exhaust is 100% oem all the way back even the cat is original. Your bottom end torque is improved and the power to the top end goes up. Reving is a tad faster and you get better mileage cause the 2rz is more efficient. The 3rz better becareful cause his little brother is growing and getting stronger.

Header
Installed my header on my 04 and found it to be a little short from connecting to my rear cat. Easy fix got a extension welded on and works perfectly with my O2 sim. As far as clearance it clears perfectly on my 2rz.
