Maintenance Instructions

Step 1: Remove and Clean

• Clean the filter sealing are and the interior of the filter housing with a soft, clean rag. Gently tap the filter on a hard surface or use a soft brush to remove large debris, dirt, and bugs.
• Apply S&B Filter Cleaner liberally to the filter media.
• Rinse the cleaner out from the inside out using low-pressure water.

-Important: Allow the filter to air dry naturally for at least 24 hours. Do not use compressed air.

Step 2: Fill and Apply Oil

• Refer to your filter's specifications and fill the applicator with the exact amount of oil required.
• Starting halfway from the base, make 2-3 passes around the circumference of the filter.
• Continue the process, evenly spacing out your passes until the applicator is empty.

Step 3: Inspect and Install

• Allow the oil to "bleed" (wick) through the pleats for 20-30 minutes.
• Inspect for any remaining white areas where the oil has not reached.
• Use any remaining oil in the applicator to touch up these spots.

-Caution: Do not over-oil the filter, as excess oil can interfere with intake sensors.
