Shop by Engine, or Shop by Truck

There are two ways to find a part here, and they suit different jobs.

Shop by model when you know the truck and want everything that fits it — a 1995 Tacoma, a 3rd gen 4Runner. That is the path most people take for suspension, body and brakes.

Shop by engine when the engine is the project. A 22R-E does not care which chassis it sits in, and neither do its parts. If you are rebuilding, swapping, boosting or building, this is the faster route — and it is the only one that works when the engine is out of the truck, or going into a different one than it left.

Both paths reach the same products. Use whichever matches the question you are actually asking.

The Engines We Build For

Four-cylinder

  • 22R, 22R-E and 22R-TE — the engine this company was built on. Carbureted 22R, fuel-injected 22R-E, and the factory-turbo 22R-TE. Pickup, 4Runner and Celica, 1981 to 1995. Our deepest catalogue by a wide margin.
  • 20R — the 22R's predecessor, 1975 to 1980. Celica and early Pickup. Shares more with the 22R than most people expect.
  • 3RZ-FE 2.7L — 1995 to 2004 Tacoma, 4Runner, T100 and Tundra. Supercharger and turbo kits, long blocks, cylinder heads.
  • 2RZ-FE 2.4L — the 3RZ's smaller sibling, 1995 to 2004. Most parts are shared; the kits that are not are split by port count.
  • 2TR-FE 2.7L — 2005 to present Tacoma and 4Runner. The current four-cylinder, and our supercharger kit for it is one of the few on the market.

V6

  • 5VZ-FE 3.4L — 1995 to 2004 Tacoma, 4Runner, T100 and Tundra. Stage 1 long blocks, ported heads, Magnuson supercharger systems.
  • 3VZ-E 3.0L — 1988 to 1995 Pickup and 4Runner. The 5VZ's predecessor. Rebuild kits, clutch and seals.

Do not see your engine? We carry parts for platforms beyond the ones listed here, including the 1GR-FE, 2UZ-FE and 1FZ-FE. Tell us what you are working on and we will point you to what fits.

Not Sure Which Engine You Have?

It is a more common question than you would think, particularly on trucks that have been through an engine before. A few quick guides:

  • 1981–1995 Pickup or 4Runner, four-cylinder — almost certainly a 22R family engine. Carbureted through 1984, fuel-injected 22R-E from 1983 onward, factory-turbo 22R-TE on a small number of 1986–1988 trucks.
  • 1988–1995 Pickup or 4Runner, V6 — 3VZ-E.
  • 1995–2004 Tacoma or 4Runner, V6 — 5VZ-FE.
  • 1995–2004, four-cylinder — 2RZ-FE if it is 2.4 litres, 3RZ-FE if it is 2.7.
  • 2005 and later Tacoma or 4Runner, four-cylinder — 2TR-FE.

The engine code is stamped on the block, and the emissions sticker under the hood usually names it too. If you are still not certain, send us the year, model and a photo — we would rather identify it for you than have you order the wrong part.

Building an Engine, Not Just Buying a Part?

We build complete engines in-house — long blocks, stroker assemblies and crate engines, machined and assembled here rather than sourced and resold. If you would rather have one arrive ready to install than assemble it yourself, let us do your build.

You can also browse the full Pickup, Tacoma, 4Runner and Tundra catalogues if you would rather start from the truck.
