Reduced engine temperatures add life to your engine and provide a denser air/fuel mixture which helps produce more horsepower. Consistent control of engine temperature allows an engine to operate at its peak efficiency, no matter what the driving conditions. The factory 195° thermostat simply cycles open and closed, this reduces cooling efficiency in any engine. With the 190° thermostat you get consistent engine cooling and precise metering of water throughout the engine. Constructed of stainless steel.
NOTE: Thermostats do not come with gaskets.

- (75-82) 20R/22R Use Flat Paper Gasket, see Part #: 1032073.
- (83-95) 22R/RE Use Round Rubber Gasket, see Part #: 1032074.

Very nice
Ordered a thermostat and gasket for my 84 Celica because it was overheating. Came in the mail quick and installed it the next day. I'm thinking that the thermostat isn't the problem because it still overheats.

Since my rebuild one year ago, the engine has never overheated or had the notorious overshoot of other generic thermostats. It was actually stamped at the proper 88C. A small price to pay to keep the coolant at the right temp. Don't do a rebuild or head gasket replacement without this vital item.
