Intake Manifold Spacer Kit
Want more torque and better throttle response from idle to mid-range? Anderson Engine Solutions now offers an Intake Manifold Spacer Kit for Toyota 2RZ (2.4L) and 3RZ (2.7L) inline four-cylinder engines. This intake manifold runner extension is a direct aftermarket "bolt-on" upgrade that requires no major engine modifications.
Performance Benefits
After installation, the extended intake port airflow path allows the 2RZ/3RZ engine to reach maximum torque at a lower engine speed. This improves overall drivability and low-end torque while promoting better fuel economy (MPG), reducing the need to rev into higher RPM ranges to get the best performance from your truck.
Product Specifications
- Direct Fit: Compatible with the OEM air box/plenum or aftermarket cold air intake systems.
- Premium Construction: 8-port, 1.75"-thick runner CNC-machined from Delrin (POM-C) with built-in gasket grooves.
- Perfect Sealing: Includes OEM Toyota intake gaskets and two EGR mounting flanges with OEM gaskets.
- Heavy-Duty Support: 1/4" steel brackets formed by a CNC hydraulic press (ASTM Spec. A-569) for rigid intake support.
- Complete Hardware: Includes a 30+ count premium hardware pack, extra hose, clamps, and a high-heat flexible piping extension for the EGR.
- Electrical Components: Includes 1x 5.6k (1/4 W) resistor and 1x 10k (1/4 W) resistor.
Hoses & Extensions
- 3.00" diameter x 5.00" long, 4-ply silicone intake extension (air plenum to throttle body).
- 3/8" ID to 3/8 ID black hose connector.
- Extended-length 1/4" ID fuel lune extension with mounting hardware.
- Extended-length 3/8" ID PCV hose.
- Extended-length 5/8" ID breather hose for positive crankcase ventilation.

The spacer is machined from high-grade Delrin to isolate your intake from engine heat and ensure long-term reliability. Key material advantages include:

Notes & Installation
- Emissions: This product is not C.A.R.B. approved. If you need to maintain emission standards with an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system you must also purchase the modified EGR tube available on our products page.
- Lead Time: Please allow up to 10 business days for the EHR tube to be built and modified, as it is a made-to-order item.
- Assembly: Minor adjustments, such as untaping a portion of the factory wiring harness, may be required during installation.

96-04 plenum spacer
There is a noticeable improvement in trq from idle to mid range as described. Improved mpg i could see possible as well, but i've yet to track that. Good quality kit, however one thing to note which the directions/kit don't provide, is the need to acquire a longer fuel feed hose to the fuel filter, as there is not one provided. After the manifold gets pushed out from the spacer, the fuel feed hose will no longer reach.
