A/C Idle-Up Valve / Device
When your vehicle is idling-such as in stop-and-go traffic or at a complete stop-the engine's power output is at its lowest. In this state, switching on the air conditioning compressor introduces a sudden, heavy mechanical load. Without intervention, this sudden strain can cause the engine to bog down, overheat, or even stall out completely.
To prevent this, an A/C Idle-Up Device is utilized. When the air conditioning is activated, this system automatically signals the engine management to increase the idle speed slightly. Raising the RPM ensures the engine has enough stable power to drive the compressor smoothly, maintaining crisp cabin cooling while preventing stalling and keeping your engine temperatures in the safe zone.
