The 63-9030 kit features an oversized, chrome-topped K&N High-Flow Air Filter protected by a application-specific heat shield that mounts directly into the original air box space. This barrier isolates the intake inlet from radiant engine bay heat, directing cooler, denser air through a custom-molded, high-density polyethylene intake tube straight to the throttle body. The washable cotton-gauze filter is built for the long haul, capable of going up to 100,000 miles between cleanings under normal driving conditions.
