Designed with off-road durability in mind, Koyorad intentionally eliminated the internal automatic transmission (AT) fluid cooler. For automatic models, this allows the radiator to sit higher for an additional 2 inches of front approach angle clearance, while completely removing the risk of cross-contamination between engine coolant and transmission fluid.

Fitment & Application Notes
- Vehicle Compatibility: 1995–2004 Toyota Tacoma V6 (4x4 & PreRunner models)
- Radiator Cap Requirement: Requires a Koyorad SK-C13 (or equivalent mini-style radiator cap). The factory OEM radiator cap is not compatible.
Transmission Setup Instructions
- Manual Transmission (MT): Direct drop-in bolt-on replacement.
- Automatic Transmission (AT): Requires an aftermarket external transmission cooler (sold separately). To simplify installation on AT models, using the manual transmission lower radiator hose (Toyota # 16572-07030 / Gates # 21534) and MT fan shroud (Toyota # 16711-07020) is recommended, though trimming the stock AT shroud will also work.
