Critical Engine Coolant Requirements

To protect internal engine metals and maximize the lifespan of your new aluminum radiator, adhering to proper coolant practices is mandatory:

• Corrosion & Component Protection: High-quality anti-freeze/coolant lowers the freezing point and raises the boiling point of your cooling system. It delivers essential anti-corrosion protection for the radiator core and internal engine block passages, while providing critical lubrication for the water pump seal.
• Factory Specifications: Always utilize the exact coolant grade specified in your vehicle manufacturer's owner's manual.
• System Flush Requirement: When installing a new Koyorad radiator, you must perform a complete cooling system flush. Refill the system using fresh, clean coolant mixed at a 50/50 ratio with distilled, de-ionized, or de-mineralized water. Neglecting to flush the system or using unapproved water can cause rapid corrosion, mineral scale buildup, premature leaks, and severe cooling efficiency loss.

Important Fitment & Compatibility Notes

• Transmission Compatibility: Designed strictly for Manual Transmission (M/T) applications. This radiator does not contain an internal automatic transmission fluid (ATF) cooler.
• Radiator Cap: This factory OEM Toyota radiator cap is not compatible with this performance core. A matching high-pressure Koyorad radiator cap must be purchased separately.
