Premium Construction & Specs: 

  • Indestructible Build: Precision laser-cut and CNC-formed from massive 3/8" (.375") plate steel.
  • Heavy-Duty Hardware: Built with 3/8" mounts and ultra tough 1/2" fastening bolts.
  • Innovative "No Drag" Design: Features recessed mounting hardware (including eight 6-point metric bolts) to ensure a completely smooth bottom surface. Nothing hangs below the plate to catch on trail obstacles.
  • Alignment Protection: Includes integrated steel-welded spacers specifically designed to shield the transfer case alignment bolt from impact.

 

Vehicle & Drivetrain Compatibility

  • 1984-1995 Toyota Hilux Pickup & 4Runner: Fits 4-cylinder models equipped with manual transmissions and dual or single transfer cases.
  • Single T-Case Note: Easily accommodates single transfer cases by optimally removing the driveshaft hoop, allowing for a slightly longer overhang if desired.
  • 1979-1983 "First Gen" Toyota Trucks: Can be adapted to fit if the side plates are custom-welded directly to the vehicle frame.
  • Mount Compatibility: Engineered to work seamlessly with both factory-style rubber mounts and our heavy-duty (HD) aftermarket mounts.

 

Key Features

3-Piece Modular Versatility

The innovative 3-piece design allows you to unbolt the outer frame mount plates from the main skid plate body using six 1/2" bolts, nylock nuts, and flat washers. This modular configuration makes the kit incredibly versatile and easier to modify for custom off-road applications. 

Adjustable Drivetrain Lift

Fine-tune your drivetrain height at any time. By removing the outer plates from the main skid plate, you can insert customer-provided spacers to raise or lower the assembly.

  • Spacer Recommendation: We recommend fabricating spacers from Delrin or DOM tubing. Standard body lift pucks with a 1/2" bore also work excellently for this modification.

 

"Flat-Belly"  Custom Fabrication Guide

Want a completely seamless, flat-belly bellypan for maximum breakover clearance? This skid plate can get you there, but it will require serious transmission tunnel modifications and advanced fabrication skills:

  1. Frame Attachment: Weld the outer plates of our 3-part skid plate directly to the top portion of vehicle's frame.
  2. Custom Spacers: Manufacturers custom-length spacers to hang the main plate from. The exact length of these spacers will depend entirely on how flat you want the belly to be, how much floorboard cutting you are willing to do, and your unique fabrication setup.
