Street Distributor
If your engine performance suffers you may need a replacement Distributor. LC Engineering has introduced a new line of distributors that come complete with new cap rotor and electronics. Save money over the OEM price with these all new complete distributors that will save time and money. Because rebuilding your distributor is an advanced project that requires specialized tools, and is beyond the scope of a DIY project, this will save time in getting the 22R back in running shape. Match the distributor with our Pro 8.5mm wire sets and get years of trouble free performance.
This distributor will come with the female end of the plug that is stock on most 22R's. If the plug is different on your vehicle, we recommend using a weather pack connector.
NOTE: This will not work for the 22RE's. This distributor will be fine for almost any application. If you're wanting something with more performance, see our Pro Distributors: Part #: 1081051 for a distributor that has a performance advance curve and vacuum advance or, Part #: 1081045 for a performance advance curve and no vacuum advance. Fits 20R engines with magnetic pick-up only. 20R engines with points style ignition will require replacing stock igniter with a MSD-6AL Digital Ignition w/rev Control, see Part #:1082026 along with a MSD Blaster 2 Coil, see Part #:1082032.

1987 Toyota pickup - 22R
After speaking with Tech Support I was pointed to the Street Distributor as the most likely fix. I ordered the same day and it arrived a few days later. Extremely well packaged so no damage upon arrival. Replaced old distributor and tuned in the timing and it seems to be working great. Hoping to drive it today. I did struggle a bit with the o-ring on the shaft. I had to switch it out as I could not get it in my head. I did purchase an aftermarket head for this rebuild. Perhaps there is a slight difference from factory. No big deal as I had a supply of o-rings on hand. I appreciate all the guidance I have received from you guys. Great products, web videos and support. Keep up the good work.

Great value/Setup perfect right out of box
Bought this without hesitation because my vacuum advance diaphragm was shot and it seemed like no brainer to just get new unit instead of bandaid my original distributor. Great product quick shipping I am a happy customer.
